Kuat Transfer V2 3 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer on our 2023 Kia Telluride. Now the Kuat Transfer is going to be a platform style bike rack able to accommodate up to three bikes with an individual weight capacity of 40 pounds each. We're gonna have two main points of contact, the first being our wheel hook here on our front wheel and a strap here on our back tire. What all that really means together is that unfortunately we're not really going to be able to support the weight of our heavy electric e-bikes but we are going to be able to accommodate for those carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. The Transfer is going to be a more premium style bike rack that's going to come with a tilt away feature. more

Hi, everyone. Aiden here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima EXO System Swing Away Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2023 Kia Telluride. This is gonna be a completely modular cargo system for your hitch, and what I mean by that is all the pieces you see here this is going to be a full kit but you can get each one separately and you can get more pieces to build on top of it and swap things out. So this kit consists of the swing away arm, the top shelf which adds the second layer to the whole system. It's got the gear locker cargo box in the bottom and the bike rack on top. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2023 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey everybody, Cooper here at etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail on our 2023 Kia Telluride. Now the GuideRail is going to be a platform style bike rack, able to accommodate up to two bikes with a individual weight capacity of 60 pounds each. Our two main points of contact are going to be two rationing arms, one here on our back tire and one here on our front tire. Now, what that means altogether is we are making no frame contact, meaning we can accommodate those carbon frame bikes and those alternative frame bikes, and due to the heavy weight capacity that we have available to us we can carry around our heavier electric e-bikes. The GuideRail also is a more premium style bike rack and does come with some really cool features like the tilt away. more

So with your Telluride, you've got a bigger vehicle that can carry around more people. So if you have your vehicle loaded with your friends and your family and you all wanna go out for a bike ride, this might be one of the better options for you. This is a premium hanging rack, where if I have to get a hanging rack because it might take up less space, then this is the one I'd probably go with. more

Now, of course, if you have your car fully loaded, three won't be enough, but this is gonna be a two with an add-on if you need a mix and a match. This is gonna be a bike rack capable of carrying up to five bikes, which for your Carnival could be a very good thing. Most bike racks that mount to your hitch do max out at around four bikes. So this one does have a leg up over the competition just a little bit. And it is going to lend itself really well towards families because if you've got bike adapter bars to make sure that those kids bikes fit over those arms, it's gonna be a really great way to carry all those bikes with you. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 Three Bike Rack and seeing how it fits on the back of our 2022 Kia Carnival. This is gonna be a platform style bike rack that can hold up to three bikes and it's going to be one that holds a bike by the tire using a front wheel hook at the front, and a wheel strap down at the bottom at the back. That means that when we're holding the bike, we're not touching the frame at all, making this a good option for carbon frame bikes and alternative frame bikes. And it does a pretty good job at getting a strong hold on the bike, but with the weight capacity, you're gonna run into a little bit of a limitation. It can only support 40 pounds per bike. more

And with the 60 pound weight capacity per bike it can handle some e-bikes too. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack, sits in the hitch of our 2023 Kia Telluride. It's a four-bike platform style bike rack capable of supporting four bikes up to 35 pounds each. It's going to hold onto our bikes primarily with these rotating padded clamps on our center mast, as well as two additional straps down at the bottom. If we take a closer look at what those cradles look like, they do slide up and down the mast and they rotate. They're also padded on the strap and on the inside to protect the frames a little bit, but we still don't recommend using this rack with carbon frame bikes. more

It's gonna be able to support up to 35 pounds per bike and it's going to hold onto a bike primarily with these rotating paddock clamps right here on our center mass. Take a look at this one. You see they do slide up and down and they do rotate to accommodate different shapes but they do make contact with our frame ultimately. So if we do want to use this with carbon frame bikes we definitely recommend against it 'cause it could potentially damage that while you're driving. more

Hey, it's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2023 Kia Telluride. Sport Rider SE is a two-bike platform-style bike rack capable of supporting two bikes up to 80 pounds each, held primarily by these frame hook and two additional straps down at the bottom so it does make contact with the frame. We don't recommend using it with the carbon frame bikes. It should work for the most alternative frame bikes 'cause it moves up and down that center mast, but it could damage carbon frames or your paint while you're driving, so that's something you want to consider. One thing that is nice about this rack is that it does have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded, but there are a couple things we need to undo first. more

First impressions of the rack on the back of the Kia. I think it looks good, you know, it doesn't look out of place at all, and that kind of holds true for just about any vehicle you put this rack on. It's kind of just got a timeless design to it, and never out of style, at least in my opinion. But this could be a great way to carry around a lot of bikes. So you can hold up to a total of four on this one. more

You can hold up to five bikes on this bike rack but I will point out that depending on the bikes you're carrying, you might notice some issues. more

It hangs the bike by the frame and it's gonna secure it with these two zip strips over the top of the frame. It's got a third one around the seat post over there to limit our side to side movement. It doesn't totally eliminate it, but it does help and reduce that bike to bike contact. more

It can hold up to four bikes and it's gonna hold the bike by the frame up here. It's got two straps over the top holding it down in the cradles, along with a third on the seat post to limit that side to side movement. That's gonna help with bike to bike contact and although it doesn't completely eliminate the movement, it certainly does help. more

etrailer Tilting 4 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Kia Telluride, we're gonna be checking out the etrailer.com hitch-mounted bike rack. First impressions, its a pretty solid bike rack, and really simple and straightforward, and this one can hold up to four bikes, so it's gonna be a good, easy way to get a lot of bikes to and from the trails. I do like where it holds your bikes in relation to the back of the Kia's window, it's almost in line with it, so it's not gonna be taking up all your visibility out of the back whenever you look your rear view, so you should be able to see what's going on behind you a little bit, and keep an eye on your bikes at the same time. With that said, I mentioned it's really simple, and the way this is gonna work is it's going to hold your bike down in two spots. All right So you're gonna have these frame straps here that secure it down, and you can position your bike in a manner where it's gonna sit level on its own, and then strap 'em down, so really not a whole lot to it at all. more

First impression of the rack on the back of the Kia, I think it's a good fit, actually. It's relatively compact for what it is, and it's relatively lightweight, as well. Generally speaking, for real nice platform style racks like this, a lot of times they have quite a bit of weight to 'em, and it's really not the case with this one, which is good, because a lot of times electric vehicles aren't rated to handle a ton of weight. more

This is a platform style biker rack, and a really good entry level platform style bike rack. It's pretty basic and lacks some of the bells and whistles that you might see on a more premium option but it's a good entry point into the space there. This is a platform style bike rack holding the bike in these trays. And primarily by the frame up here with this clamp. Frame contact is gonna mean we want to avoid carbon frame bikes but with the way this clamp actually rotates 360 degrees and moves around, it should be good for alternative frame bikes as well. more

CURT Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2018 Kia Sedona- Video
Hi everyone, Aidan here at etrailer.com Today, we're taking a look at the Curt Premium here on our 2018 Kia Sedona. Now the Curt Premium is a hanging style bike rack capable of holding up to four bikes. You can get a five bike version, and that'll have a slightly higher weight capacity of 225 as opposed to 180 pounds total. And it'll stick out a bit further, but overall they're gonna function the same. Because it's a hanging style bike rack, it's gonna hold the bike hanging by the frame here. That does mean we want to avoid carbon frame bikes because it can damage the frame. more

RockyMounts Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2021 Kia Telluride- Video
Hi everyone. Aiden here at etrailer.com and today we're gonna be taking a look at the RockyMounts GuideRail here on our 2021 Kia Telluride. Now, this is a really nice bike rack. I like this style where we are in a tray like this holding the bike by the tires on either side. It's gonna make it really nice for our carbon frame bikes so we don't have to worry about any sort of frame damage, our alternative frame bikes and with a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, even good for some of our e-bikes with the batteries removed. This one especially is going to hold it really well and like many other platform racks in this style, you have the ability to tilt away with the bikes loaded. more

Yakima StageTwo 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey Everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack on a 2022 Kia Telluride. This bike rack is gonna be great for carrying a lot of different kinds of bikes as far as its weight capacity, you can carry up to 60 pounds per bike, and because it is a front wheel mount, you can carry a lot of odd shaped frame style bikes, and your carbon frame style bikes, you're not gonna have to worry about it damaging or warping the frame. But this bike rack has a lot of really cool features that all add up to make it a really premium option for bike racks. One of them being an integrated cable lock for each bike rack, they're all gonna be keyed alike with each other as well as on the self-tensioning knob that we'll get into in just a bit. The trays are also ladder styled, so they're gonna be offset just a little bit, it's gonna minimize the bike to bike contact, and it's gonna give you a little bit of extra clearance backing down those steep driveways. Another great feature about this rack is you can tilt it away, and that way, you can leave your bikes on if you need to get anything out of your hatch like your book bags, helmets, waters, whatever you need for your bike ride. more

This bike rack is gonna be great for a lot of different kinds of bikes because you can carry up to 60 pounds per bike. And because of the front wheel mount you can carry all sorts of different odd shape bikes like the women's step through bikes or anything with a carbon frame. So you're not gonna damage or warp the frame. One of the cool features about this rack is that you can tilt this bike rack away using that lever. And that way you can access your hatch without having to take the bike off and you can grab your waters, helmets, whatever you need for your bike ride. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at the Hollywood Sport Rider SE Bike Rack on a 2022 Kia Telluride. This bike rack is great for transporting your extra heavy electric bikes as you can carry up to 80 pounds per bike, so it's really great for your fat tire bikes as well. We do have a frame mount here, so if you had your carbon frame style bikes or bikes with a custom paint job, this might not be the best for you. But one of the cool things about this bike rack, even though it can carry up to 160 pounds, is that it still can tilt away. Just be careful when doing so, 'cause you are gonna have all that weight coming down on you. I like to keep one hand on the frame while I pull back on that knob. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Kia Telluride- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Swagman Chinook bike rack on the 2022 Kia Telluride. This bike rack is good for transporting your bikes of up to 45 pounds per bike. Since it is a frame mount, you probably wouldn't want this if you had a carbon frame-style bike rack, as it might warp or damage your frame. But, you do get a pretty cool tilt away feature that allows you to tilt the bike away with keeping the bike still on there. And you can still grab your book bags, your waters, helmets, whatever you need for your bike ride. And you're gonna hear it lock back into place. more

Hey, everyone, Charles here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the Kuat Transfer V2 bike rack on a 2022 Kia Telluride. This is a great bike rack for those with a carbon frame or those with a custom paint job because of its front wheel mounts. It's not gonna ruin the paint job or warp or damage your frame. One of the coolest features about this design is that you can, after unloading the front bike, you can swing this mount out of the way. That way you have more control and stability when you're handling the second bike. more
